Black Diamond: Your Guide to Select Jewellery Pieces

The most distinctive kind of jewellery created and sold globally is diamond jewellery. Black diamond jewellery is produced in many designs, proportions, and patterns. The most challenging element, the diamond, is ideal for sculpting to be in perfect condition.

    How to Select Black Diamonds

There are two important considerations to make:

    • Identify the diamond’s form that the lucky recipient likes first. If unsure and cannot determine, go for a round or princess cut.
    • When choosing the minimum carat weight, take the receiver into account. If their hearts are set on a one-carat diamond, they will be dissatisfied with even the most gorgeous half-carat diamond.

    Types of Jewellery

Chains and necklaces: They are the most expensive and worth investing in. Black diamond stones are embedded in the chain to make it look exquisite. It can be worn to parties and even formal occasions if the necklace is elegant.

Earrings: They can either be studs or hanging ones. The former is preferred as it does not easily fall. Black diamond stones between white and silver ones look attractive when placed near the ear.

Bracelets: They are worn on the wrist and are widely worn during social gatherings. A black diamond bracelet enhances the appearance of the wrist. Imagine holding a wine glass and wearing a bracelet having black diamonds! Exquisite, isn’t it?

Anklets: They are worn on the joints of the foot. The sounds they make are no less than music to the ears.

Rings: These black diamond jewellery pieces are the most common type of diamond jewellery. They are widely given as engagement and wedding rings worth a fortune. They come in different settings like the halo, prong, infinity, cluster, etc.

    Why the Colour “Black”?

The simple answer is that black is a universal and subtle colour that can be worn to any occasion. Depending upon the outfit, the necklace’s or earrings’ whole look can be changed. Black shiny diamonds look exquisite at night times or even during the day time. These stones don’t go unnoticed.

Things to Consider When Picking Black Diamond Jewellery

    The Carat Weight

There is no such thing as an “optimal” carat weight for a diamond, so the choice is entirely up to you.

The most common choices are diamonds that weigh between 0.95-carat and 1.08-carat—the price increases with increasing carat weight.

The size of a diamond is determined by its carat weight (as does its shape and cut quality).

    The Price Range

It’s a good idea to have a budget when buying diamond jewellery. When you buy a premade piece from a jeweller, the price is given so you can ensure it fits within your budget. In the case of custom-made jewellery, you won’t know the final cost unless you decide on all of your design elements, including the metals you want to use and the additional materials you’ll need. It is simpler to prevent overpaying if you have a budget cap.

Compare the Quality of the Diamonds.

Examining various diamonds in the same price range will help you determine which is best for you. You should consider the diamond’s brilliance, eye catchiness, and how much it costs relative to comparable diamonds.

    Purchase Authentic Diamonds

Professional labs that evaluate and grade diamonds are known as grading entities. Such organisations determine a diamond’s cut quality, clarity, and colour (as well as many others).

Different laboratories use different standards. Thus it could be challenging to determine which is the most reliable. Only GIA and AGS-certified stones should be considered when hunting for a loose diamond.
